Luci and James fancied a relaxed but old school cool kind of affair at the beautiful Eastbourne Town Hall and the unique A21 American Diner.
When I met Luci and her mum for a beer a couple of weeks beforehand I knew that these guys were going to be a joy to work with, so relaxed and down to earth and they couldn’t have been happier with my style of wedding photography that always captures those special moments between family and friends.
The day started at Luci’s parents house, a lovely house in a small village, deep in the East Sussex countryside. A combination of the brilliant organisation by Luci’s mum and the incredible light coming into their conservatory afforded some lovely moments of the family interacting whilst getting ready for the day whilst I did my usual photo-ninja thing!
Having never shot at Eastbourne Town Hall, I was really impressed with this building, the architecture really puts Brighton Town Hall to shame and the light inside the hall was much brighter too which of course is much better for photography. These two were so cute together as they looked longingly into each others eyes whilst saying their vows..aww! There was time for some lovely confetti and family shots by the stunning Rolls Royce parked outside Easbourne Town Hall before the couple were waved off.
Finally we joined back together for the wedding reception up at the A21 Diner, Hurst Green on, well, the A21 of course! It’s a real treat for a photographer when the venue and/or the decorations are particularly interesting, it gives the photographer something to focus on, provides photo props, brings the whole visual experience together. The diner was great for all of these reasons, with bride and groom’s alternative styles jiving with the retro feel of the American diner.
Such a sweet couple and a lovely group of folks with whom I felt especially welcome. Thank you Luci, James and family! Best wishes on your life together!
