Sussex offers a great range of wedding venues but not many can boast the grandeur of a Stanmer House wedding. This impressive venue is located on the edge of Brighton, making it very convenient for a couple and their guests. Kim and Kunal chose to spend their day here after getting ready in the beautiful Yellowhammer in Plumpton, East Sussex, on a warm summer’s morning.
This in itself was a beautiful backdrop for pre-wedding photos. We captured the groomsmen beside the pool, the bridal party from the window and that all-important moment when the bride’s father first saw her out in the picturesque gardens.
Henry Pelham Room Ceremony
Before we knew it, it was time to head over to the couple’s Stanmer House wedding ceremony. Kim and Kunal opted for the amazing Henry Pelham room. Natural light poured in through the windows as I snapped away in this stunning setting. The room combined grand cornicing with exposed wooden floors for a distinctive, classic look.
The couple made their newly married exit into the gardens and from their grins, you could tell they were on cloud nine! The floral arch in the garden formed the perfect frame for the moment – another little beauty of a Stanmer House wedding.
Afterwards, Kim and Kunal celebrated with a marquee reception. Pastel blue and white lanterns created a charming effect on the ceiling. Tall floral arrangements added romance to the tables, without obstructing each guest’s view. A party, a hog roast and even more partying (these guys certainly knew how to celebrate!) topped off the day.
Stanmer House Wedding Photos
We had a great time on the couple shoot at Kim and Kunal’s Stanmer House wedding. The park is a pleasure to walk around at the best of times, but this couple’s relaxed demeanour made it an absolute pleasure.
We captured lush photos in the gardens, making the most of the greenhouse’s reflective backdrop and more rustic, timber-clad outbuildings. These provided a lovely natural contrast to the couple’s more formal ceremony location. You really can have the best of both with a Stanmer House wedding.
But it was the golden hour photos that really stole the show. The gorgeous warm light filtering through the trees created the ultimate glowing haze before the moon rose.
Kim and Kunal, I’m so glad you liked the photos and thank you for your kind words. Enjoy every moment of being married, you guys were ace!
