Brighton Japan Festival is the brainchild of the Moshimo crew and originated as a smaller affair held near Moshimo sushi restaurant back in 2009. Now outgrowing the small area they used to inhabit, this festival has now become the largest annual Japanese cultural event in the UK and to accommodate have moved the festival to the Old Steine Gardens. Films, workshops, stalls, performances, and events such as a cosplay ball got the crowds flocking to have a piece of the action.
The Japanese culture is arguably one of the most intriguing in the world and having the chance to have a little taster of that brought to your doorstep is a great opportunity. This festival will certainly be in the calendar for next year.
