Amberley in the Autumn

If you haven’t been to Amberley it’s really worth getting out there, only 40 minutes out of Brighton in the car and with a train station, it’s a breeze to get to. There are a few lovely walks in the vicinity and it really does have it all, quintessential English countryside, meandering rivers, wildlife aplenty, a quaint historical village, tearooms, a castle, and most importantly country pubs with great food and ale.

What was particularly nice was not seeing another person – with so many walks being too popular around Brighton e.g. Devil’s Dyke and Ditchling Beacon, this really did seem like a hidden gem. Some deep hues were coming through signalling the beginning of Autumn, but the weather still begged to differ; warm sunshine and a light breeze, we’ll take that thanks.
